M. Mara-Ann is a San Francisco based poet, visual artist, and publisher of WOOD. Recent work includes her new book lighthouse (2002) just released by Atelos, forthcoming: ecnelis (2000) from a+bend press, and a CD poetry/music collaboration with composer Sean Abreu/dj databass entitled Water Rights (2000). Current projects include two collaborations: poetry editing for an art book with accompanying DVD entitled Drama in the Desert: The Sights & Sounds of Burning Man and vocal performance among linguistic islands, a sculptural installation for Burning Man 2002. Mara is also working on a new book length manuscript entitled Navratan Korma
